A professional darts player has been suspended after appearing to punch an opponent. Adam Smith-Neale, the world number 82, allegedly aimed a punch immediately after losing a match at the Nuneaton Darts Open, a non-PDC amateur tournament. Footage of the alleged assault appeared online and has been widely condemned. The 30-year-old has now been indefinitely suspended by the sport’s regulatory authority, the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA), pending a disciplinary hearing.
